How to do it
A gentle moving stretch for your spine, done on all fours. Good for loosening a stiff back after sitting.
- Kneel on all fours, hands under your shoulders and knees under your hips.
- Breathe in as you let your stomach sink, lifting your chest and tailbone (cow).
- Breathe out as you round your back towards the ceiling and tuck your chin (cat).
- Flow slowly between the two for the time shown.
Tips and safety
- Move within a comfortable range.
- Use a folded towel under your knees if they're sore.
Move within a comfortable range and stop if you feel pain. If you have an injury or health condition, check with a qualified professional first.
