Video: “Cardio exercises: Mountain Climber” by P4P WORKOUTS on YouTube. Plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
How to do it
A fast, full body move that raises your heart rate and works your core and shoulders. One rep is one knee drive; 20 reps is 10 on each side.
- Start in a high plank with your hands under your shoulders and your body in a straight line.
- Drive your right knee towards your chest, then return it.
- Drive your left knee towards your chest as your right foot goes back.
- Keep switching legs at a steady pace, keeping your hips level and your back flat.
Tips and safety
- Go slower, stepping each foot in rather than jumping, if you need to keep good form.
- Keep your shoulders over your hands and don't let your hips bounce up and down.
Move within a comfortable range and stop if you feel pain. If you have an injury or health condition, check with a qualified professional first.
