How to do it
A seated stretch for the back of your thigh. Hold for the time shown, then switch legs.
- Sit on the floor with one leg straight in front of you and the other bent, its foot against the inside of the straight leg.
- Sit tall, then hinge forward from your hips and reach towards the toes of your straight leg.
- Stop when you feel a stretch in the back of your thigh and hold, breathing slowly.
- Come back up slowly and change legs.
Tips and safety
- Keep your back long rather than rounding to reach further.
- Don't bounce. Stretch only to a comfortable level.
Move within a comfortable range and stop if you feel pain. If you have an injury or health condition, check with a qualified professional first.
