Video: “How to do Bicep Curls and Tricep Extensions” by Central YMCA on YouTube. Plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
How to do it
A classic arm exercise for the biceps and forearms. Light weights and good control work best.
- Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand, arms by your sides and palms facing forward.
- Keep your elbows close to your body and curl the dumbbells up towards your shoulders.
- Squeeze at the top, then lower slowly until your arms are straight.
Tips and safety
- Don't swing your body to lift the weight; choose a lighter dumbbell instead.
- Keep your wrists straight.
Move within a comfortable range and stop if you feel pain. If you have an injury or health condition, check with a qualified professional first.
