A high plank with alternating shoulder taps that trains your core to resist twisting. 16 reps is 8 on each side.
- Start in a high plank with your hands under your shoulders and feet a little wider than hip-width.
- Brace your stomach and squeeze your glutes.
- Lift one hand and tap the opposite shoulder, then put it back down.
- Alternate sides, keeping your hips as still as possible.
Tips and safety
- Widen your feet to make it easier to stay steady.
- Do it with your knees on the floor if needed.
Move within a comfortable range and stop if you feel pain. If you have an injury or health condition, check with a qualified professional first.
